Vandenack Weaver Truhlsen Highlights Resources during National Elder Law Month

Vandenack Weaver Truhlsen is joining elder law firms nationwide who are drawing attention to elder law resources available to the community during National Elder Law Month in May.
Vandenack Weaver Truhlsen has been providing presentations to civic and community groups, senior care facilities, and caregiver organizations for several years. The firm’s elder law attorneys, elder care coordinators, and other professionals are well known in Nebraska area for their presentations on topics related to the challenges of aging, long-term illness, and disability. “We will speak anywhere we’re invited,” said attorney Rachel Truhlsen, who heads the elder law division of Vandenack Weaver Truhlsen. “In a typical year, we will give more than dozens of presentations to groups large and small, and to audiences at assisted living facilities, senior centers, independent living communities, and other long-term care settings. We consider it an honor.”
The firm also offers a variety of information, including an elder law-focused blog and a YouTube channel featuring dozens of videos on topics like Estate Planning, Wills/Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Medicaid Planning, Veterans Benefits, Asset Protection, Caregiving, and more. The channel also features personal stories from staff members and clients.
The firm’s activities are part of a nationwide observance of National Elder Law Month, which is sponsored by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Founded in 1987, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) educates, inspires, serves, and provides community to attorneys with practices in elder and special needs law. NAELA’s 4,000 members are experienced and trained in working with the legal problems of aging Americans and individuals of all ages with disabilities.
